
Chak-chak
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Chak-chak is considered a classic dish of Tatar national cuisine. Usually, the bride's mother prepares chak-chak for the wedding and then "sells" it to guests for any amount of money. Honored guests are also welcomed at the door with chak-chak. The ready dessert can be served at the table.

1. Prepare all the ingredients and products. Now you will know how to make authentic chak-chak.

2. Knead the dough: mix the flour with eggs, salt, and vodka.

3. Cover the dough with a bowl or plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes to allow it to swell.

4. Divide the prepared dough into 3 parts. Roll out each piece to a thickness of no more than 2 mm. Then cut into strips (2 cm wide).

5. Cut each strip of dough into noodles crosswise (3 mm wide). Separate the noodles from each other immediately after cutting.

6. Place the noodles on a tray covered with a towel. This is done to prevent sticking.

7. Heat the oil in a cauldron. Fry the noodles in small batches in the oil. Stir the noodles periodically during cooking. The cooked noodles should turn creamy in color.

8. Place the fried noodles onto a strainer to drain excess oil. In another skillet, melt the sugar with honey over low heat, stirring constantly.

9. When the sugar has completely dissolved, remove the pan from the heat and pour the honey mixture over the noodles. Mix gently, taking care not to break the pasta.

10. Place the chak-chak onto a serving dish (with wet hands) and gently press down to eliminate any gaps.

11. Serve chak-chak with tea or coffee, and for children, it's best to serve kefir or milk alongside the dish.
