Basil tea
Description
It turns out that basil is perfect not only for preparing salads and appetizers that go wonderfully with meat and cheeses, but you can also brew a delicious and fragrant tea from this beneficial herb. The tea has an amazing color and aroma—definitely give it a try if you get the chance. I highly recommend it. Can be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making tea. Only purple basil is suitable for tea. Wash and slightly dry the basil, mint, and lemon.
- 2
Step 2

Remove the basil leaves from the stems, as the stems have too strong a flavor and aroma and are not suitable for making tea. Transfer the leaves to a teapot.
- 3
Step 3

Also remove the mint leaves from the stems and add them to the teapot.
- 4
Step 4

Slice several lemon slices and add them to the mint and basil.
- 5
Step 5

Boil water in a kettle, let it cool slightly to about 85 degrees. Pour the hot water over the herbs in the teapot.
- 6
Step 6

Cover the teapot with a lid and a kitchen towel, and let it steep for about 15 minutes so the herbs can infuse and brew.
- 7
Step 7

After some time, pour the prepared basil tea, add a little honey, and serve.
- 8
Step 8

The longer the tea brews, the more beautiful its color becomes—bright lilac.
