Quick donut recipe
Description
We prepare yeast dough with milk, using instant yeast, which can be replaced with fresh compressed yeast. Sugar can be omitted from the dough; this results in non-sweet doughnuts that are delicious to taste with your favorite sauce.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Gather all the ingredients from the list. Before starting the preparation, gently heat the milk in a saucepan over low heat until it reaches a temperature of 35-37 degrees.
- 2
Step 2

Pour warm milk into a small bowl, add 1 tsp sugar and yeast. Mix well. Let it sit undisturbed for 15 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

After 15 minutes, a foam-like layer should appear on the surface of the yeast mixture—this means the yeast is activated.
- 4
Step 4

In a separate bowl, crack the eggs, add all the sugar, salt.
- 5
Step 5

Vigorously mix all ingredients with a whisk.
- 6
Step 6

Sift the flour into a large bowl.
- 7
Step 7

Pour the egg mixture and the yeast mixture into it.
- 8
Step 8

Knead a soft dough and shape it into a ball in the bowl. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- 9
Step 9

The dough should rise during this time.
- 10
Step 10

Roll out the fluffy dough on a work surface to a thickness of about 0.5–0.7 cm. Use two round cutters of different diameters: first, press the larger cutter into the dough to form a circle, then use the smaller cutter to punch a hole in the center of that circle—this creates a donut shape. Prepare all donut shapes from the entire dough in this way.
- 11
Step 11

In a thick-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil and place the donut shapes in the pan. Fry until golden brown and appetizing. Then transfer the cooked donuts to a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
- 12
Step 12

Cool the finished donuts, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and serve.
