
Quick mayonnaise cake
Description
Universal dressing for salads and hot dishes. In this version, a quick mayonnaise-based pie made at home with a filling of potatoes and canned fish, but you can use absolutely any fillings. By the way, fruits or berries also work perfectly—just add a bit more sugar to the dough. This is a great idea for effortless baking. Perfect served with pasta, meat, and vegetables.

1. Place the eggs, mayonnaise, and sour cream into a deep bowl. Add kefir and begin whisking until smooth.

2. Add a pinch of salt, sugar, and baking soda. Gradually add the sifted flour, stirring constantly. Watch the dough consistency—it should not be too thick, otherwise the quick mayonnaise cake made at home will turn out tough.

3. Grease a heat-resistant baking dish with vegetable oil and place half of the dough in it. Spread the filling—thinly sliced potatoes (pre-salted to taste) and fish mashed with a fork.

4. Place the remaining dough on top. You can either completely cover the filling or create decorative patterns, for example. This quick mayonnaise pie recipe is great because it allows for plenty of experimentation. Put the pan into the preheated oven.

5. Depending on the size of the pan and the height of the cake, bake for about 35–50 minutes at medium temperature. Carefully remove from the pan, let cool slightly, and cut into portion pieces.
