
Quick Cranberry Sauce
Description
Perfectly complements meat, poultry, and side dishes. This sauce goes very well with poultry and meat dishes. It can also be served with fried cheese and fish. Sweet cranberry sauce can be used as a filling for pies and sandwiches. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

1. For the sauce, you can use fresh or frozen berries. Sort the cranberries and rinse them. Place the cranberries in a saucepan.

2. Sprinkle the berries with sugar and pour in the juice of your choice. Mix and place over very low heat. Once the sauce comes to a boil, simmer for about 10 minutes. The liquid may evaporate quickly—don't worry, you can add more juice. If you've run out of juice, top it up with water. Some berries will burst, while others will remain whole. This is normal. If you're preparing the sauce for meat or fish dishes, you may add garlic, nutmeg, or herbs to taste. It's delicious even without seasonings, but will taste great with your preferred spices.
