Quick Orange Cake in a Hurry
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I've never baked cakes with oranges before, and I never even thought it was possible. But with the New Year approaching, I really wanted to immerse myself in the festive mood, so I decided to treat myself to this delicious delight. I must say: I definitely got into the holiday spirit, and then enjoyed a wonderful tea time with the most delicious and aromatic cake. So I'd like to share this recipe with you too.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. I sifted the flour in advance not only to remove any lumps but also to enrich it with oxygen, resulting in even fluffier baked goods.
- 2
Step 2

Add the soda, extinguished with vinegar, to the kefir. Stir and let it sit for a few minutes. Then add the eggs and sugar, and mix.
- 3
Step 3

Add the flour in small portions, incorporating it into the dough. Gradually add all the flour this way. The dough should end up with the consistency of a biscuit dough.
- 4
Step 4

Peel the orange and cut it into small pieces.
- 5
Step 5

Pour half of the batter into a baking pan (I used a 23 cm diameter pan) and arrange the orange pieces on top.
- 6
Step 6

Pour the remaining batter on top.
- 7
Step 7

Bake the pie in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees. Bake until a wooden skewer comes out dry. Sprinkle the finished pie with powdered sugar and decorate with grated orange zest.

Step 8

The pastry is ready. Serve with tea.
