Quick Lightly Salted Cucumbers in 5 Minutes
Description
These quick lightly salted cucumbers are very easy to make at home in 5 minutes. The only catch is that you shouldn’t salt large batches of cucumbers this way—they lose their crunch after three days. So make them fast and eat them fast! Good luck. Jars keep for up to a year in a cool place.

Step 1

1. Wash the fresh cucumbers thoroughly and pat them dry. If you bought the cucumbers yesterday, I recommend soaking them in cold water for several hours. If you want them to be pickled by lunchtime, make random cuts in them. I leave mine whole.

Step 2

2. Place the dry prepared cucumbers in a cellophane bag. Add salt, sugar, minced garlic, and dill. Tie the bag and place it inside another bag. Then shake it thoroughly for about five minutes so the salt distributes evenly. Leave on the counter.

Step 3

3. If you made cuts in the cucumbers, they will be ready in just four hours! If not, wait until evening and serve for dinner!
