Quick dough for chvorost
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. Vodka is a must—it's what makes the fried dough so crispy! I highly recommend trying this beloved pastry using this recipe. You can use richer kefir, depending on your preference. Remember this recipe; it's perfect to serve with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Mix the eggs, vodka, kefir, sugar, salt, and 320-325 grams of flour. Stir everything together.
- 2
Step 2

Start kneading the dough by hand, gradually adding the remaining half cup of flour, until it stops sticking to your hands.
- 3
Step 3

Quick kefir dough is ready!
- 4
Step 4

Divide it into 4 parts, rolling each part out quite thinly. Then cut the dough sheet into small strips, making a slit in the center of each.
- 5
Step 5

Now, thread one end of each strip through the hole, turning the dough inside out. You can shape the future stick candy however you like.
- 6
Step 6

Pour vegetable oil into a kazan or deep frying pan. There should be enough oil so that the dough pieces float in it. Fry several pieces at a time until golden brown.
- 7
Step 7

As a result, you should have golden strips of crispbread. Dust them with powdered sugar and serve.
