Sandwiches in the Oven
Description
A tasty appetizer for any gathering. I offer you an open sandwich with a filling of chicken, cheese, mushrooms, and vegetables. But this kind of sandwich is so versatile that you can add almost any filling you like. You can also dress the sandwiches with sauces to taste, but in this case I do not, since I plan to take them outdoors. They need to keep well for a long time and be easy to eat. Serve the appetizer at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces and boil in salted water until cooked through. It can also be baked.
- 2
Step 2
Meanwhile, wash the mushrooms, slice them into thin slices, and start frying them in oil; then add the chopped onion and fry until translucent. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3
Step 3
Next, dice the bell pepper into small pieces and add it to the mushrooms and onion. Sauté briefly until the pepper softens. All the liquid should evaporate.
- 4
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Cut the loaf in half like a book, without cutting all the way through, so it can be stuffed.
- 5
Step 5
Place the mushroom filling in the baguette, also add the boiled chicken and cheese slices. Wrap the resulting sandwich tightly in foil.
- 6
Step 6
Put the sandwich in the oven for 10 minutes so the cheese melts.
