Description

The recipe won't take much time. For me, New Year's is the most favorite holiday of the whole year, so I prepare thoroughly and try to create an interesting and unusual menu for my guests. Today I'll tell you. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

First, we need to prepare the starter. For this, we put 215 grams of flour into a bowl, add 125 grams of milk and half a teaspoon of yeast. Mix all the ingredients by hand, but do not knead the mixture too thoroughly. Then tightly cover the bowl with the starter using plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator overnight (it should stand in the cold for at least 12 hours).

    Step 2

The next day, we take the sponge out of the refrigerator and knead it slightly. Then we add another 90 grams of flour, 1 tablespoon of cold milk, 1 teaspoon of yeast, half an egg, fine salt, and sugar to the sponge. Now we thoroughly knead the dough by hand until smooth. At the end, we add the butter and knead the dough again until it becomes soft and elastic. After that, we cover the bowl with plastic wrap once more and set it aside for some time until the dough doubles in size.

Then we knead the dough once again and divide it into 19 equal parts, shaping each part into a small ball. Place the balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arranging them to resemble a Christmas tree. Use 15 balls to form a large triangle, and place the remaining 4 balls in the center of the triangle's base. Let the dough balls rise for 30–45 minutes.

After the time has elapsed, brush the balls with melted butter, then sprinkle with rosemary and sea salt.

Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 170 degrees and bake our Christmas tree for 20 minutes. After that, decorate the treat with festive bells and serve it at the holiday table. Enjoy your meal and Happy New Year to everyone!
