Description

Delicious baked treats for the whole family. Cinnabon-style rolls might seem difficult to make at home—after all, there's the soft, fluffy dough, the fragrant caramel-cinnamon filling, and the light creamy frosting. At first glance, everything seems expensive, the recipe complicated, and nearly impossible for a beginner. Today, I'll prove to you that making Cinnabon rolls at home using this recipe is not only possible, but also very easy! I'm sharing with you my tried-and-true homemade Cinnabon recipe. Let me say right away: I was also making Cinnabons for the first time, taking photos as I went, and I was afraid the baking wouldn't turn out. But everything turned out absolutely perfect! The recipe is amazing! The Cinnabon rolls were so delicious that my family devoured them before I could even finish photographing the final result. One thing: I should have let the rolls cool a bit longer so the slices would be neater, but even in my photo, you can clearly see how soft and tender the dough is. So, are you drooling yet? Let's get started making classic Cinnabons at home! Be sure to save this recipe for classic homemade Cinnabons

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Here is a recipe for classic homemade cinnamon rolls. Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Although it may seem like there are quite a few of them, almost all can be found in any refrigerator. So, you shouldn't have any trouble gathering the ingredients.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

For the dough, dissolve a little sugar—literally 1 teaspoon—in warm milk, then add the yeast. I use compressed yeast; my baked goods always turn out great with it. Whisk the mixture thoroughly with a whisk until the yeast is completely dissolved, and let it sit for 10 minutes. During this time, a foamy layer will form on the surface, indicating that the yeast has activated.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Add the egg (I lightly beat it with a fork beforehand) to a bowl, along with a pinch of table salt, the remaining sugar (intended for the dough), and vanilla sugar. Also add the melted butter (you can melt it over low heat, in a water bath, or in the microwave, as I did). Mix the mixture well.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Start adding the sifted flour. Mix first with a whisk or spoon, then transfer the dough onto a work surface and knead by hand. Knead for about 10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and uniform. Note: you might need slightly more or less flour than specified in the recipe—this is perfectly fine.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Transfer the dough to a deep bowl, cover with a towel, and leave in a warm place. I usually use a multicooker, set it to the "Multicook" mode, set the temperature to 35°C and the time to 1 hour. I place the plate with the dough directly into the multicooker and close the lid. The dough rises perfectly! After an hour, knead the dough again, put it back on the plate, and leave it once more, this time for about 30–40 minutes, to let it rise again.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

The dough turned out absolutely perfect: smooth and fluffy! Roll it out into a large sheet about 6-7 mm thick.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Brush with a thin layer of softened butter.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Mix the sugar and cinnamon (it's better to use brown cane sugar, but I didn't have any, so I used regular white sugar). Sprinkle the resulting mixture over the entire dough layer.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Roll the dough into a log as tightly as possible.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Now you need to cut this large roll into small pieces, about 4-5 cm wide. Cutting with a knife is not very convenient, so I recommend using ordinary thread. Take a short piece of thread, slide it underneath the roll, lift the ends, cross them over, and pull through. This way you'll get a neat and clean cut. Cut the entire roll in the same manner.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

Place the small rolls into a baking dish greased with vegetable oil. I use a round pan with a diameter of 25 cm. It's essential to let the buns rest for 20–30 minutes. Then bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25–30 minutes. Baking time is always individual—watch that the dough is fully baked and doesn't burn.

  12. 12

    Step 12

    Step 12

Prepare the Cinnabon frosting at home. To do this, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and a little milk. Whisk everything well with a whisk.

  13. 13

    Step 13

    Step 13

Drizzle the finished classic cinnamon buns with icing. Since the buns are still hot, the icing will melt, spreading over their surface and seeping between the layers of the cinnamon buns.

  14. 14

    Step 14

    Step 14

Classic Cinnabon buns are ready at home! Enjoy your meal!
