Buns

Description

It's best to spread the buns with buttercream once they have cooled slightly. Due to high temperature, the cream may curdle or simply run off the buns completely. It's important to achieve the effect where the buns are not just moistened, but have a generous layer of cream on the surface. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

    1. Heat 250 ml of milk in a saucepan over the stove. Add 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 4 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Stir to combine. Let it cool slightly. The liquid temperature should be warm enough to hold your finger in it. For those with a thermometer—around 40°C.

    Step 3

    3. Sift 2 cups of flour, adding 1 tsp of baking powder. Knead the dough. The dough will be liquid and sticky. I kneaded it with a mixer. Both yeast and baking powder are used in the dough. Baking powder can be substituted with baking soda (1/2 tsp) neutralized with vinegar or lemon juice.

    4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise. This will take about 2 hours. You can speed up the rising process by placing the bowl with dough near a warm radiator.

    8. Roll out the dough into a flat layer.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

    9. Brush the top of the dough layer with melted butter using a pastry brush. Generously sprinkle with the prepared cinnamon topping.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

    10. Roll the dough into a log so that the cinnamon ends up inside the log. Cut the log into segments.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

    11. Place the cut pieces onto a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper). The sugar will turn into caramel during baking. It sticks well to the baking sheet. To prevent the buns from sticking, use parchment paper well-greased with oil. After baking, quickly remove the buns from the paper.

  12. 12

    Step 12

    Step 12

    12. Do not brush the buns with egg yolk. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the buns in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

    Step 13

    Step 13

    13. Prepare the cream filling. Mix 100 g of cream cheese (Almette, Buko, Philadelphia) with 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Just stir until smooth. Use this cream to spread on warm buns.
