Apple buns

Description

The baking is simple and quick. For the buns, you'll need sweet and juicy apples. I've indicated an approximate quantity—the exact number depends on the size of the apples and may range from 4 to 6. If you don't have enough filling, don't worry; you can always add raisins, dried apricots, nuts, dried cherries, or other tasty ingredients to these buns. Shaping the buns is easy and attractive. Place a row of sliced apples onto the rolled-out dough, cover with dough, and roll it up into a log. Place the rose-shaped buns into a greased baking pan, let them rest for at least 30 minutes, and once the buns have risen, they're ready to bake! Optionally, you can add vanilla sugar or vanilla extract to the dough or filling. Good luck! The baking is done. Serve at the table.

    Step 1

    1. Prepare the ingredients, let's get started!

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

    2. In warm kefir, dissolve fresh yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

    3. Add vegetable oil and egg. Mix well once again.

    Step 4

    Step 4

    4. Add the flour in parts. Mix the dough in a bowl with a spoon, then finish kneading on the countertop. The dough should not be too stiff; once it stops sticking to your hands and comes together into a ball, it's ready. The amount of flour I indicated is approximate, taking into account the flour used for dusting.

    Step 5

    5. Place the dough in a deep bowl and cover with a towel. Preheat the oven to 40-45 degrees Celsius, then turn it off. Put the dough inside and leave it undisturbed for about an hour. The warmth will allow the dough to rise properly.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

    6. The dough is ready, it has increased several times, fluffy and aromatic.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

    7. Peel the apples; I used 5 medium apples for the buns. Finely chop them, add sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix well. The filling for the buns is ready.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

    8. Deflate the dough and knead it well on the table once again. Divide it into 16 equal parts—this can be easily done by cutting the dough in half with a knife, then cutting each piece in half again, and repeating this process until you have 16 equal pieces. Roll out each piece of dough with a rolling pin, as shown in the photo. Place about one and a half tablespoons of chopped apples onto the dough. Try to distribute the apple pieces evenly over the upper half of the dough.

    Step 9

    9. Cover the apples with the lower half of the dough, but do not seal the edges.

    Step 10

    Step 10

    10. Roll the dough into a roll and place the bun. You'll get a little rose like this.

    Step 11

    11. Line a round baking pan with parchment paper or simply grease it with vegetable oil. Place the buns in the pan. Brush them with beaten egg.

    Step 12

    12. Place the pan with the buns in a warm oven and let them rise for 30-40 minutes.

    Step 13

    13. Bake the buns at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Let them cool slightly in the mold, then carefully remove, peel off the parchment paper from the bottom, and serve with tea.
