
Buns with dried fruits

Homemade pastries for tea. Delicious sweet buns with dried fruits and a cup of tea or coffee... that's exactly how a good day should start, isn't it? :) And what's stopping us from baking buns? Only laziness or fear of ruining something. But the recipe for making buns with dried fruits is actually very simple. The dough is yeasted, yes, but the recipe is extremely easy, and the dough always turns out perfectly for everyone. So no more excuses—let's make buns :) Serve them cooled down or slightly warm.

Pour warm kefir into a bowl and add a pinch of salt and sugar, mix well. Add dry yeast and stir. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes.

Now add the melted but not hot butter, eggs, vanilla sugar, and mix. Then add the sifted flour.

Knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise.

Thoroughly wash the dried fruits and dry them on a towel. Then cut them into cubes or strips. Place the chopped prunes into a separate plate.

The dough has already risen; add all the chopped dried fruits to it, except for the prunes, and knead to distribute the dried fruits throughout the dough.

Divide the dough into 12-14 pieces. Roll each piece into a flat round and place a small amount of chopped prunes in the center.

And pinch to form a round bun, making sure to fold it so that the dried fruits end up inside the dough. Place the buns into a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise a little longer.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
