Honey Buns
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. It is well known that honey loses its beneficial properties when heated, but baked goods made with honey turn out so tasty and aromatic that we tend to overlook this drawback. I often use honey in baking, and today I will tell you about it.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

In a small bowl, add sugar and dry yeast, mix well.
- 2
Step 2

Add about one-third of a cup of warm water and mix thoroughly. Place in a warm spot for about 10-15 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Meanwhile, let's work on the nuts. They need to be crushed. You can chop them with a knife, or place them in bags and crush with a rolling pin.
- 4
Step 4

We will bake the buns in a round pan; it's better to line it with parchment paper. The honey may leak out of the buns during baking, and then you'll have to wash the pan.
- 5
Step 5

The yeast has risen into a foamy layer. Add the remaining water, salt, and honey to it. Mix until the honey and salt dissolve.
- 6
Step 6

We proceed to knead the dough. Sift the flour and add vegetable oil.
- 7
Step 7

And add the honey yeast solution.
- 8
Step 8

The dough should turn out soft and easily detach from hands, so you might need a little more flour. Cover the dough with a towel and place it in a warm spot for about 30-40 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

The dough has risen, so you can start shaping the buns.
- 10
Step 10

Lightly grease the table or cutting board with vegetable oil and roll out the dough into a rectangular sheet about 6-7 mm thick. Brush with liquid (!!!) honey and sprinkle with nuts. If your honey is thick, melt it in a water bath.
- 11
Step 11

Roll into a log and carefully seal the edges.
- 12
Step 12

Cut into 10-12 pieces.
- 13
Step 13

And pinch the bottom of each bun to prevent the honey from leaking out. Place the buns in a baking dish, spaced slightly apart from each other.
- 14
Step 14

Place in a warm spot for about 15 minutes to let them rise. Then brush with tea brew.
- 15
Step 15

And send to a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
