Cinnamon rolls from yeast dough
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Cinnamon rolls made from yeast dough have a pronounced flavor and aroma, achieved specifically by adding cinnamon. While baking, the poppy seed-sugar topping forms a caramel layer. The rolls become incredibly delicious! I highly recommend trying this version.

Step 1

To make cinnamon rolls from yeast dough, we need to prepare the dough. It can be done either using a bread machine or by hand. Put the sifted flour into the bread machine bowl. Add sugar, salt, and dry yeast to the flour. Break in 1 egg. Pour in 300 ml of milk and add 70 g of butter. Place the bowl into the machine and start the kneading cycle. In my case, the kneading process takes 3.5 hours.

Step 2

The finished dough needs to be kneaded and removed from the bucket.

Step 3

Divide the dough into 4 parts. Roll out each part into a sheet.

Step 4

Melt 100 g of butter. Using a brush, grease the top edge of the dough with butter. Generously sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- 5
Step 5

Roll the dough sheet into a roll.
- 6
Step 6

Cut the roll into slices with a sharp knife. Prepare a separate bowl where you mix 3 tablespoons of poppy seeds with 3 tablespoons of sugar.

Step 7

Take each piece of dough in your hand. Dip one edge of the dough into the beaten egg, then into the prepared poppy seed topping. Place the buns onto a baking sheet (the baking sheet should be lined with parchment paper beforehand). Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Bake the buns for about 15–20 minutes in the preheated oven.
