They can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Dissolve the yeast in warm milk, add salt, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Mix, pour in the vegetable oil, and add the softened butter.
- 3
Step 3

Pour in 1 egg, mix.
- 4
Step 4

Sift the flour.
- 5
Step 5

Knead the dough by hand or with a mixer. The dough should be kneaded well: 7 minutes by hand, about 5 minutes with a mixer. Shape the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and leave it to ferment for 1.5 hours.
- 6
Step 6

During fermentation, the dough should increase in size by about 2 times. In the middle of the fermentation process, perform 1 punch-down.
- 7
Step 7

Prepare the filling: slice the canned peaches into wedges and lightly dust them with a mixture of 1 tsp starch and powdered sugar.
- 8
Step 8

Lightly dust the work surface with flour, divide the dough into 12 equal parts, and roll them into balls.
- 9
Step 9

I suggest two options for shaping the buns. In the first option, roll out the dough into a shape close to a square. Cut slits in the corners, as shown in the photo, and place the filling in the center.
- 10
Step 10

Join the two opposite ends of the square and secure.
- 11
Step 11

Similarly, join the other two ends, secure them well in the center so that they do not come apart during proofing and baking.
- 12
Step 12

To shape the buns using the second method, roll the dough out into an oval flatbread. Make slits on one end of the flatbread, and place the filling on the other end.
- 13
Step 13

Wrap the dough around the filling and pinch the edges closed.
- 14
Step 14

Roll the flatbread into a little roll so that the cuts are on top.
- 15
Step 15

Place the prepared pieces on a baking sheet, cover with a cloth, and let them proof for 20 minutes.
- 16
Step 16

While the buns are proofing, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Mix 1 egg yolk with 2 teaspoons of milk.
- 17
Step 17

Brush the buns with a mixture of egg yolk and milk before baking.
- 18
Step 18

Bake the buns until done at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.
- 19
Step 19

The buns with canned peaches turned out appetizing, fluffy, and very tasty. Pour yourself some tea, coffee, or milk and enjoy.
