Blueberry Buns

Description

Tasty baked goods for the whole family. You can make these buns not only from yeast dough but also from laminated yeast dough, which you can buy at any store. If you like a smooth filling, you can purée the cottage cheese in a blender until smooth.

    Prepare all the ingredients you need for blueberry buns. Pick over the blueberries, rinse them, and let them dry.

    Pour warm water into warm milk, add salt, sugar, and yeast. Add vegetable oil and mix until smooth.

    Gradually add sifted flour and knead a soft, non-sticky dough. Knead the dough for 10 minutes, shape it into a ball, and place it in a deep bowl greased with oil.

    Cover the bowl with the dough and place it in a warm spot for 50–60 minutes to rise.

    Break an egg into the cottage cheese, add sugar and vanilla sugar, and mix.

    Lightly dust your work surface with flour and roll out the dough into a rectangle 0.5-0.8 centimeters thick, then spread it with the cottage cheese mixture, leaving one edge empty. Sprinkle the cottage cheese layer with blueberries.

    Roll the rectangle into a roll toward the empty edge and pinch the seam closed. Cut the roll into 3–4 cm pieces and place them in an oiled baking dish with the cut side facing up. Cover the dish and leave it in a warm place for 25–30 minutes to rise.

    Place the risen buns in a hot oven and bake for 25–30 minutes until done and golden on top. Brush the finished buns with vegetable oil, cover, and let cool.
