Buns with feta cheese and green peas
Description
Perfect for tea and coffee. I ended up with 10 delicious buns, although I generously filled the molds. Keep in mind that the buns will rise in the oven! Inside, they're porous and tasty, not dry but even moist from the brined cheese. The peas and tomatoes add a pleasant touch, and I'm very satisfied with the result. Try my recipe too!
Instructions

Step 1

1. Prepare the ingredients. There is no need to thaw the peas in advance.
- 2
Step 2

2. Pour boiling water over it for 5 minutes, then simply drain in a colander to remove the liquid.
- 3
Step 3

3. Blanch the tomato with boiling water and remove the skin. Cut it into cubes, removing the seeds. I specifically used a pink tomato, which has dense flesh and less juice.
- 4
Step 4

4. Grate the feta cheese on a coarse grater, add yogurt (sour cream), soft butter, peas, and tomato. Mix well.
- 5
Step 5

5. Add salt, sugar, and ground black pepper. Mix well.
- 6
Step 6

6. Pour in the milk, add flour and baking powder.
- 7
Step 7

7. Mix thoroughly, being careful not to crush the peas and tomato pieces—they should remain intact. The batter consistency should be moderately thick, like homemade sour cream.
- 8
Step 8

8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease the muffin molds with odorless vegetable oil. Divide the batter among the molds. I filled them generously, making 10 pieces in total.
- 9
Step 9

9. Bake the buns until done, about 30 minutes. Check for doneness with a bamboo skewer.
- 10
Step 10

10. Let the buns cool slightly in the molds, then remove them and enjoy! Bon appétit!
