Pan-fried buns
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. You can make the buns in a skillet not only for tea or coffee, but also for soup or hot dishes as an alternative to bread, adjusting only the amount of sugar in the recipe. Whatever option you choose, the buns will turn out golden, appetizing, with a crunchy tasty crust and a tender crumb. If a large group of eaters is expected, I recommend doubling the amount of ingredients. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Add sugar to warm milk and stir until it fully dissolves. Add 1 tbsp of flour and yeast. Stir and leave in a warm place until a yeast foam appears.
- 3
Step 3

As soon as the starter is ready, transfer it to a deep bowl. Add the egg.
- 4
Step 4

Stir until the egg is broken up and add melted, cooled butter and salt.
- 5
Step 5

Mix and add the flour in portions, stirring the dough with a spoon each time.
- 6
Step 6

When the dough becomes difficult to stir with a spoon, continue kneading it by hand.
- 7
Step 7

The amount of flour may be slightly more or less than indicated in the recipe. The dough should be soft and a little sticky to the hands. Gather it into a ball, coat it with vegetable oil, cover the bowl with a clean towel, and place it in a warm spot for 1 hour.
- 8
Step 8

After an hour, we knead the dough again and let it rise once more.
- 9
Step 9

Make a thick sausage out of the dough and cut it into equal pieces. The size of the pieces depends on the desired size of the finished buns.
- 10
Step 10

Form balls from the pieces, gently flatten them with your hand, and make a hole in the middle with your finger. This will help them cook faster and not remain raw inside. Cover the dough pieces with a towel and let them rise for another 20 minutes.
- 11
Step 11

Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the buns over medium heat on both sides until done.
- 12
Step 12

The skillet buns are ready. Serve them with sour cream, jam, or condensed milk.
- 13
Step 13

The pastry is ready. Serve with tea.
