
Cheese buns
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. For anyone familiar with yeast dough, baking these buns is straightforward. Beginning cooks get a detailed description of every step of making this pastry. Fresh yeast can be replaced with dry yeast; you will need one-third as much. Serve with tea or coffee.

Take all the ingredients for making buns.

Crumble fresh compressed yeast into a deep bowl.

Pour warm milk and mix with the yeast.

Add the salt and sugar, then add the egg and butter; melt the butter beforehand and let it cool slightly.

Gradually add the sifted flour.

Knead a soft, elastic dough that does not stick to your hands.

Place the bowl with the dough in a warm spot, cover with a towel or plastic wrap. In about an hour to an hour and a half it will have increased in volume.

Take the dough out of the bowl and knead it briefly. Divide into balls weighing 50–60 grams.

Roll each ball into an oval. On one edge of the dough, spread the grated cheese.

Place the buns on a baking sheet and cover with plastic wrap. Let stand at room temperature for 30–35 minutes. Then brush with egg and put in the oven preheated to 175°C.
