Fluffy buns
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. The buns turn out fluffy and light, perfect for breakfast to spread with butter, or for sandwiches. If you brush the buns with garlic butter, they'll resemble garlic pampushky. You can warm them in the microwave. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Place 4 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt into a bowl. Mix everything together using a food processor.
- 2
Step 2

2. In a separate container, mix water, milk, and butter. Place in the microwave and heat to a temperature of 115 degrees, which takes about 1.5–2 minutes (the butter should melt).
- 3
Step 3

3. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Add lemon juice.
- 4
Step 4

4. Using a mixer with a hook attachment, knead the dough for 3-4 minutes until it becomes elastic. Start at low speed, then increase to medium-low. After kneading, tightly cover the bowl and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

5. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface. Roll it out slightly to form a rectangle.
- 6
Step 6

6. Cut the dough into 16 equal parts.
- 7
Step 7

7. Shape the pieces of dough into balls and place them onto a baking surface previously greased with oil. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 8
Step 8

8. Moisten the tops of the balls with water using a brush. This will prevent the dough from drying out while it rises in the oven. Place the dough pieces in the oven and immediately turn off the heat. Let the dough rise in the oven for 20 minutes.

Step 9

9. Remove the dough from the oven, preheat to 220 degrees, and return the buns to the oven. Bake for 14–16 minutes, until a golden-brown crust forms. After baking, take the buns out of the oven and place a piece of butter on top of each bun.
