Cream puff pastries
Description
This recipe yields very light and airy choux pastry that bakes quickly. Making choux buns at home is pure pleasure! You can fill them with jam, condensed milk, whipped cream, or even savory fillings (such as cheese, mushrooms, chicken, or combined ingredients). Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Step 1

1. Prepare the choux pastry in the traditional way: melt (but do not boil!) the margarine.

Step 2

2. Then pour in the water and bring to a boil, after which add the flour and remove from heat. Quickly knead the dough using a wooden spatula.

Step 3

3. Let the dough cool slightly. Add the eggs and mix the dough again. You can place it over a water bath. I add salt and sugar to taste (into the still loose dough).

Step 4

4. Now, spoon or use a kitchen syringe to place the batter onto a baking sheet (grease it with oil beforehand and line it with parchment paper).

Step 5

5. Bake until golden brown in a preheated oven at 190 degrees.

Step 6

6. When the buns are ready, let them cool slightly and fill with whipped cream or any other filling.

Step 7

7. I like to brush the buns with egg and sprinkle them with sesame seeds. They can also be topped with powdered sugar, sunflower or pumpkin seeds, and poppy seeds.

Step 8

8. Serve the cream puffs on a large plate. They are very light and delicious.
