Stuffed buns with pilaf
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Actually, my main goal today is to show how you can serve pilaf in an original way—inside hamburger buns shaped as little baskets. Therefore, you can prepare the pilaf using any recipe you like and are accustomed to. However, along the way, I'll still share the pilaf recipe I make at home. Most often, I cook this pilaf in my favorite helper—the multicooker—but sometimes I also prepare it in a traditional cauldron (kazan). I wouldn't say it's an original or classic pilaf recipe, but it's accessible for every home cook and very simple. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Instead of beef, you can also use pork, chicken, or turkey to cook pilaf. For spices, it's best to buy a ready-made pilaf mix: paprika, turmeric, barberry, ginger, cumin, carrots, and onions.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the meat into small pieces, approximately 2x2 or 2x3 cm.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the onion into small cubes.
- 4
Step 4

Carrots can be grated on a coarse grater or cut into thin strips with a knife.
- 5
Step 5

All the ingredients are ready, so you can start cooking. Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl and add the beef. Turn on the "Sauté" mode for 15 minutes and cook until a lot of juice is released from the meat. Meanwhile, season the meat with salt, then add carrots and onions. Stir and continue cooking until the program ends. Usually, 15 minutes is enough to brown both the meat and vegetables.

Step 6

Now add the pilaf spices to the multicooker bowl and add the washed rice. Rinse the rice several times under running water until the water remains completely clear after rinsing.
- 7
Step 7

Gently pour water over the rice. It's convenient to use a slotted spoon or a large spoon. Simply pour the water onto the spoon, letting it trickle from there onto the rice, so as not to disturb the rice or create deep grooves. Now add a little more salt to the plov and place a few garlic cloves on top. Close the multicooker lid, select the "Pilaf" setting, and cook until the program ends (35-40 minutes).
- 8
Step 8

The pilaf in the multicooker is ready. It will turn out incredibly aromatic.
- 9
Step 9

Prepare serving baskets for pilaf: cut off the "top" of hamburger buns and remove the crumb.
- 10
Step 10

Fill the buns with pilaf, garnish with herbs and a slice of fresh garlic. Serve hot and enjoy!
