Description

Delicious baked goods for the whole family. Sugar-filled heart-shaped buns are a childhood favorite for many of us. Some of us were lucky to have grandmothers who could bake everything perfectly, while others bought these treats at the local bakery. Try baking these sweet buns yourself and delight your loved ones with delicious homemade pastries. It's actually very easy, believe me. The unique aroma of fresh baking will fill your home, and I'm sure the first batch will disappear from the table within minutes. I'll show you how. Serve them cooled down or slightly warm.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

First, add yeast and sugar (2 tablespoons) to warm water. Mix everything, cover with a towel, and set aside until the yeast becomes active. In a separate bowl, combine eggs and milk, then add melted butter (70 grams) and a pinch of salt. Mix well. Then add the yeast mixture to the egg mixture. Add flour and knead the dough. Let it rest for about half an hour to rise.

    Step 2

Before shaping the buns, knead the dough once again. Then divide it into small portions (I got 8), roll each portion out. Brush each piece with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

It is advisable not to sprinkle sugar all the way to the edges, otherwise the dough may not stick together properly. Roll up the sugar-sprinkled flatbread into a roll, sealing the edges of the dough.

    Step 4

Fold the roll in half and press the edges together.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Cut the dough as shown in the photo.

And spread out the resulting heart shape.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Place the heart-shaped buns onto a baking sheet previously lined with parchment paper or foil. Bake for 25 minutes at 180 degrees.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

As soon as the buns are ready, take them out of the oven. You can cool them by covering with a damp (but thoroughly wrung-out) towel. This will help the baked goods stay soft for longer.
