Bulgur with lentils
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Until recently, Arab peoples lived very modestly (before oil extraction began), and their diet was quite simple. One of the most common dishes among many Arab communities is bulgur with lentils. Just three affordable ingredients—and a nutritious, filling meal is ready. Here's how to make it ;) The finished dish can be served immediately.

Step 1

Rinse the lentils and soak them in cold water overnight. Drain and place them in a pot to cook (the amount of water should be one and a half times more than the lentils). Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer gently. When the lentils are almost cooked, add the bulgur, pour in more water (enough to completely cover the contents), add salt, and continue cooking for another 20 minutes over medium heat. Remove from heat and let stand uncovered.
