Description
The recipe won't take much time. Colorful bruschetta is the perfect appetizer to enjoy with a glass of chilled white wine at dinner, as a snack, or simply as a dish for a party with friends. You can make more sandwiches if you are expecting more guests. The main thing is to stock up on ingredients. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. The type of bread doesn’t matter much — you can use a white loaf or brick loaf, a rye baguette, Borodinsky bread, and so on.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the bread slices in half diagonally, vertically, or horizontally—as you prefer. Brush them with vegetable oil and fry on a dry skillet on both sides until golden brown. Then place them on a plate and let cool for 5 minutes so they become crispy.
- 3
Step 3

Spread each slice of bread with mayonnaise of any fat content; you can use vegan mayonnaise or garlic mayonnaise.
- 4
Step 4

Rinse the cucumber in water, trim off the ends, and cut it in half lengthwise. Slice one half of the vegetable into half-moons and arrange them on the bruschetta halves.
- 5
Step 5

Open the cod liver cans, carefully remove the liver from the oil, and place it on the unfilled halves of the bruschetta.
- 6
Step 6

Garnish the appetizer with fresh dill or parsley and serve it to the table right away. The longer the appetizer sits on the table, the less crispy the bread base will become.
