Breaded broccoli
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. The recipe for breaded broccoli differs little from the general method of preparing fried breaded vegetables. However, broccoli is so tender that I prefer not to use plain breadcrumbs (as they create a rather coarse crust), but rather a mixture with flour—preferably coarse, though regular semolina can also be used. Otherwise, preparing breaded broccoli should give you no difficulties, especially since all steps are illustrated with photos. The finished dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Separate the broccoli into florets and thoroughly wash under running water.
- 2
Step 2

Boil for 2-3 minutes in boiling salted water.
- 3
Step 3

Drain in a colander, rinse with cold water, and let excess liquid drain off — this will take about 10-15 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Meanwhile, prepare the eggs (beat well with a fork or whisk), flour, and breadcrumbs.
- 5
Step 5

Add salt, pepper, and nutmeg to the eggs. Beat once again.
- 6
Step 6

Pour oil into a deep skillet or sauté pan and add garlic. Fry for just 1 minute, then remove.
- 7
Step 7

Dip each floret into the eggs, then into the mixture of flour and breadcrumbs. Repeat the procedure once more. Fry the broccoli in boiling oil until a golden crust forms. Remove onto a colander or paper towel to drain excess fat.
- 8
Step 8

Sprinkle the finished dish with sesame seeds if desired. Serve with soy sauce or any other sauce.
