Brownies with cocoa
Description
You can serve a warm piece of brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or crème brûlée—it will act like a sauce. You can drizzle cooled brownie with melted chocolate or cover it with ganache. You can add nuts, dried fruits, or fresh berries to the batter.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making cocoa brownies. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 2
Step 2

Melt the butter using any convenient method and let it cool. Add sugar, a pinch of salt, and rub with a whisk or beat with a mixer until the sugar dissolves.
- 3
Step 3

Add one egg to the butter mixture and beat well until smooth. Add the second egg and beat again.
- 4
Step 4

Mix the flour and cocoa, then sift into a bowl with the butter-egg mixture. Stir everything carefully until smooth, until the batter reaches a thick sour cream consistency.
- 5
Step 5

Line the baking pan with parchment paper and transfer the dough into it, then smooth it out.
- 6
Step 6

Place the pan in a preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes. The brownie should remain slightly moist inside, but if you prefer a drier texture, bake until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let the brownie cool completely, then remove it from the pan, cut into pieces, and serve.

Step 7

The pastry is ready. Serve with tea.
