Barley mash
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This mash can be used to make moonshine or whiskey. The drink has a sweet yet sharp flavor. I think many alcohol connoisseurs will enjoy it. It's definitely worth trying to make, especially since the ingredients are simple and readily available. Can be served.
Instructions

Step 1

In a large container, bring water to a boil. Add the grain and stir with a large mixer (for example, a construction mixer). Turn off the heat and wait until the mixture becomes uniform. Then wrap the container with a blanket and leave it in a warm place for 2 hours.

Step 2

After this time, add enzymes at a rate of 3 ml of alpha-amylase per 1 kg and glucoamylase in a 1:1 ratio. Mix everything gently, stirring constantly. Add the second enzyme as soon as the grain cools down to 65 degrees. Then wrap the container in a blanket again and leave it in a warm place for an hour.

Step 3

After that, taste the mixture. If it is sweet, cool it down to 30 degrees. Soak the yeast in warm water at a 1:10 ratio for 15 minutes, then add to the grain and mix.

Step 4

In about 5 days the mash will be ready. Stir it 3 times a day and keep it at a temperature of 25 degrees throughout this time.
