Honey mash for moonshine
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Honey does not always ferment well, so it should be boiled to obtain glucose (which is necessary for the fermentation process). To make a honey mash for moonshine, you can use absolutely any honey. Its quality is not particularly important, as it does not affect the final result. After distillation, this mash produces a moonshine with a faint honey aroma that is smooth and easy to drink.

Step 3

3. Transfer the wort into a fermentation-safe container and install an airlock. Leave the container in a warm, dark place for fermentation. The fermentation temperature should be within 18-25 °C.

Step 4

4. The fermentation of the mash may last 5-7 days. You can determine the end of fermentation by several factors: - there is no foam on the surface anymore; - the mash has become lighter in color; - sediment has formed at the bottom; - the mash has acquired a bitter taste.
