
Pancakes with Black Rice

This recipe won't take much time. I think it could claim the title of the most unusual one. Pancakes with black rice are a truly unexpected dish—you've probably never tried anything like it. Wild rice makes the pancakes more filling and slightly changes their texture and flavor. You can bake these pancakes without mentioning the black rice, then watch your guests' reactions—a very amusing sight :) Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Measure out the required amount of black rice and cook it until done according to the package instructions.

In a bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients—flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Stir to combine.

In another bowl, mix the egg, milk, and vanilla essence until smooth.

Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients.
