Pancakes with Warm Kefir
Description
Homemade baking for tea. Steeping the dough in warm kefir helps activate the gluten; the dough doesn’t need a “rest,” so you can bake golden, tasty pancakes right after preparing the batter. Invite your relatives and treat them in style! These pancakes are especially delicious served with sour cream.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Buy kefir of any fat content. The more sour the drink tastes, the more sugar you should add to the dough.
- 2
Step 2

Transfer the kefir into a cauldron or a pot with a non‑stick bottom and heat it on the stove, but do not bring it to a boil, so the drink doesn’t curdle.
- 3
Step 3

Then pour it into a deep container and crack a couple of chicken eggs, add the granulated sugar and salt. Whisk quickly until the eggs coagulate in the hot liquid.
- 4
Step 4

Add the wheat flour to the container and whisk again.
- 5
Step 5

Pour in the vegetable oil and stir.
- 6
Step 6

Heat the pan and for the first time grease its bottom with vegetable oil. Pour a portion of pancake batter and cook the pancake for 1 minute, then carefully flip to the other side and cook for the same amount of time. Be careful — these pancakes are very delicate and may tear.

Step 7

Thus, prepare the remaining pancakes, place them on a plate or dish, and serve them at the table. Don't forget the honey, sweet sauces, and jams.
