Whey Pancakes
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. These golden pancakes can be served with various sauces and fillings, while not forgetting to brew aromatic coffee, tea, latte, or cappuccino. The baking is quick and simple; the main thing is to let the batter rest for about 15 minutes so the pancakes don’t tear when flipped.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Pour the buttermilk into a deep bowl or plate, crack a chicken egg into it, and add sugar and salt. If you use farm-fresh eggs, the dough will turn a rich yellow color, thanks to the bright yolk.
- 3
Step 3

Add the sifted wheat flour and whisk it so that no lumps form. Pour in the odorless vegetable oil and stir. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes to activate the gluten.
- 4
Step 4

Then heat the crepe pan on the stove, using medium heat. Grease it the first time with vegetable oil and pour a ladleful of batter. Fry the crepe on each side for 1–2 minutes until golden.
- 5
Step 5

In the same way, prepare pancakes from the remaining batter.
- 6
Step 6

Serve the buttermilk pancakes at the table with honey and berries, sweet sauces, appetizing jams, and preserves.
