Description
The recipe won’t take long. Despite the rather intriguing name, Dorayaki pancakes are very easy to make. You can serve them on their own or with any filling you like: chocolate spread, boiled condensed milk, jam, and so on. Essentially, they are sponge-style little pancakes whose taste is closer to a pastry. Delicious, and made from very affordable ingredients. Save this recipe for later. Baking is done. Serve.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Beat the eggs with the sugar. Add the honey (the honey should be liquid, so melt it in the microwave first if necessary) and beat everything together again.
- 3
Step 3

Add water.
- 4
Step 4

Mix. Add flour and baking powder.
- 5
Step 5

Mix everything again until smooth. The dough is ready.
- 6
Step 6

Heat the frying pan. The first time, you may grease it with oil; afterward, cook the crêpes in a dry pan. On average, I use a little less than one small ladleful of batter for each crêpe.
- 7
Step 7

Wait until holes appear on the surface, then gently flip them over. Mine made 8 small pancakes about 10 cm across. Keep the heat just below medium so they don’t scorch.
- 8
Step 8

Next, spoon any filling of your choice into the center of the pancake (I used boiled condensed milk) and cover with a second pancake.
- 9
Step 9

Dorayaki pancakes are ready.
