Crepe pie with chicken and mushrooms

Description

The recipe won’t take much time. I’d like to offer you this delicious homemade crepe pie with a tempting filling. You can make the crepes using any favourite recipe of yours—the main thing is that they are thin and flexible enough. This pie didn’t get its name by chance: it comes from its unusual shape, like a snail shell. It’s very easy to make, especially if you already have crepes ready, and you can freely experiment with the filling. It can be served with tea or coffee.

    Prepare all ingredients. The pancakes for the pie should be thin and elastic.

    In a frying pan, sauté the onion and mushrooms, cut into cubes, in vegetable oil.

    Add chicken breast cut into small pieces, salt and spices to taste.

    Cook until the meat turns white.

    Add 1 tbsp sour cream, stir, and remove from the heat.

    For the topping, combine the remaining sour cream and eggs. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix with a whisk.

    Place the filling along the edge of the pancakes.

    Cover it and add some grated cheese (leave about 30 grams for the top).

    Then roll the pancake with chicken, mushrooms, and cheese into a roll.

    In this way, stuff all the pancakes and arrange them in a buttered round baking dish in a spiral, starting from the center.

    Pour the filling over the chicken-and-mushroom crepes, then sprinkle with the grated cheese you set aside earlier.

    Bake the crepe cake in the oven at 180°C for 25–40 minutes, until a nice golden colour. You can let the finished crepe cake cool slightly in the tin.
