Budget Cake
Description
Homemade pastry for tea. I should mention right away that you can adjust the amount of sugar in the dough, but I wouldn't recommend adding more than 150 grams, otherwise it will turn into a solid sugar cake. This cake is small, but if you'd like to treat more guests (in addition to your family), simply double the ingredient quantities. You can cover it with any cream or chocolate glaze; this time I used my favorite cream made of condensed milk and butter. Serve with tea or coffee.
Instructions

Step 1

1. I turn on the oven, set the temperature to 180 degrees, and preheat it. I sift the flour in advance.
- 2
Step 2

2. I previously put the eggs in the refrigerator so they would be chilled, then separate the whites from the yolks.
- 3
Step 3

3. Add 60 grams of granulated sugar to the egg yolks and beat at maximum speed until a light mixture forms.
- 4
Step 4

4. Wash and thoroughly dry the mixer attachment. Beat the egg whites until a fluffy white mass forms, then add granulated sugar and reduce the speed, beating until the sugar crystals dissolve.
- 5
Step 5

5. Carefully add the yolks to the egg whites and mix in one direction.
- 6
Step 6

6. Add flour to the protein mixture, mix until smooth.
- 7
Step 7

7. Line the removable mold with parchment paper and pour the prepared batter into it.
- 8
Step 8

8. I put the pan in the oven for 20 minutes, then take out the sponge cake and check its readiness with a toothpick. I transfer the baked good onto a plate and cut it into 2 layers.

Step 9

9. Whip the condensed milk with butter, use this cream to spread between the cake layers and on top, then sprinkle with the crumbs from cutting the layers.
