
Budget Aspic
Description
The appetizer is quick and easy to prepare. This budget-friendly aspic turns out tasty and cooks quickly. Boil chicken meat, preferably meat on the bone—for example, chicken drumsticks; with them, the broth will set well. There should not be too much water. For color and flavor, add vegetables and spices to the broth. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

Prepare all ingredients.

Rinse the meat, place it in a pot, and cover with clean water.

Simmer the meat for 40-45 minutes over gentle bubbling.

Wash the carrots and unpeeled onions thoroughly, then add the vegetables to the broth. Also add a bay leaf and peppercorns for aroma. Cook the aspic for another 15–20 minutes. The broth will take on a beautiful color from the onions.

Remove the meat, let it cool, separate it from the bones, and cut into small pieces.

Place the meat in suitable containers; if desired, add diced carrots.

Pour well-strained broth over the aspic. Let set in the refrigerator.
