Cottage cheese and semolina cutlets
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you want to fry the patties, you'll need additional flour for breading and vegetable oil for frying. I, however, will cook them by steaming, as this makes them more tender and less caloric. Serve the patties warm with various fruit sauces, jam, or honey. Alternatively, serve them chilled.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the ingredients for the patties. Measure out the required amount of ingredients. Let's get started!

Step 2

First, you need to cook a thick semolina porridge. Bring the milk to a boil. Add sugar. While constantly stirring the milk, gradually pour in the semolina in a thin stream to prevent lumps from forming. Cook for about three minutes until the porridge thickens well. Remove from heat, continue stirring, and let the porridge cool down.

Step 3

Add the cottage cheese and poppy seeds. If the cottage cheese is dry or lumpy, pass it through a sieve or fine grater. Mix well.

Step 4

Add a raw egg to the cooled porridge and mix.
- 5
Step 5

With wet hands, take portions of the porridge and roll them into balls, placing them on the steamer rack. First, pour water into the pot to generate steam. Turn on the steamer for 15 minutes.

Step 6

The semolina and cottage cheese cutlets are ready. But don't rush to remove them from the grill—let them cool completely. While they're hot, they're very delicate, so it's practically impossible to take them off carefully! Once cooled, the cutlets hold their shape perfectly. Serve them with honey, jam, or condensed milk. Enjoy!
