Salmon, potato, and green pea patties
Description
"You might ask, 'Isn't it easier to just make mashed potatoes, bake the fish, and serve it all with peas?' Yes, it's simpler, but served to 3-4 people, your version made with these ingredient amounts would look rather meager, don't you think? So let's make delicious patties that everyone will enjoy—especially since you can use leftover mashed potatoes from yesterday's lunch or dinner :)"
Instructions

Step 1

1. If you don't have ready-made mashed potatoes, peel the potatoes and boil them until cooked. Then we'll move on to the fish. Pour lemon juice over the fillets, season with salt and pepper (a pinch of salt and pepper each).
- 2
Step 2

2. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes, or cook in the microwave at high power for 5-6 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

3. Boil the peas in salted water for 8-10 minutes, then transfer them to a bowl with water and ice to keep the peas green.
- 4
Step 4

4. The potatoes are ready; mash them into a puree. If you're using leftover mashed potatoes from yesterday's lunch and they were prepared with milk, add a little flour or, better yet, breadcrumbs to prevent the patties from falling apart during frying.
- 5
Step 5

5. Add the egg, finely chopped green onions and dill, salt and pepper to taste to the puree. Mix until smooth.
- 6
Step 6

6. Add the cooled green peas and fish, broken into small pieces.
- 7
Step 7

7. Gently mix, making sure the peas and pieces of fish remain intact in the potato mixture.
- 8
Step 8

8. Form the patties and coat them in flour.
- 9
Step 9

9. Fry over medium-high heat in a pan with vegetable oil.
- 10
Step 10

10. Sear until a beautiful golden crust forms.

Step 11

11. And serve with your favorite sauce or vegetables.
