Bean Cutlets
Description
This recipe won't take much time. For a change in your diet, try making bean patties. Beans are an excellent, vitamin-rich product. Prepare bean patties as follows: 1. Boil the beans until tender. Soak the beans beforehand, preferably overnight, then cook until soft. If you don't have time to prepare dried beans, use canned beans instead. 2. Finely chop the onion and garlic, and grate the cheese. 3. Place the beans, onion, garlic, and cheese into a blender and process until smooth and homogeneous. 4. Shape the mixture into patties. 5. Lightly beat an egg and prepare some breadcrumbs. Dip each patty first into the egg, then into the breadcrumbs, and fry on both sides in a mixture of butter and olive oil for about 10–12 minutes. 6. Transfer the cooked patties onto a paper towel to drain excess oil. Then sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs. Serve hot with salad leaves and sour cream.
