
Lentil cutlets
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Although the recipe for lentil cutlets includes cream, I still believe it can be considered part of vegetarian cuisine. Lentils are a very filling product rich in protein, capable of replacing meat in our diet without harming health. Nevertheless, I also recommend this simple lentil cutlet recipe to people who eat meat, as the dish is not only very healthy but also incredibly delicious. The ready dish can now be served.

First, we pour boiling water into a saucepan and add the lentils, salt the water, and cook the lentils until fully done.

While the lentils are cooking, we peel the vegetables, dice the onion into small cubes, and grate the carrot on a coarse grater.

Chop the fresh herbs and hot pepper.

When the lentils are ready, drain them in a colander. Next, heat some vegetable oil in a skillet and sauté the carrots and onions until golden. Add flour to the skillet and cook the carrots and onions for another half minute. Then add the cooked lentils and herbs with hot pepper, mix all the ingredients, pour in the cream, and simmer for another 2 minutes. Let the mixture cool slightly.

Now we place a clean frying pan on the stove and heat vegetable oil in it. We form small patties from the prepared lentil mixture and place them in the pan, frying the patties on both sides until golden brown, then transfer them onto a paper towel.

As soon as the towel absorbs the excess fat, transfer the patties onto a plate and serve them with a light sauce or vegetable salad. Enjoy your meal!
