Sponge cake in a multicooker
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. A berry sponge cake is one of the most popular desserts. You can confidently use either frozen or fresh berries. Since it's not berry season now, I chose the first option—I had a frozen mix of blueberries, cranberries, and raspberries. To make a sponge cake in a multicooker, we'll prepare a simple sponge using a small number of eggs.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare a simple sponge cake batter: beat eggs with sugar, add sifted flour, vanilla sugar, baking powder, and mix everything with a mixer.
- 2
Step 2

Do not thaw the frozen berries, just gently sprinkle them with starch and mix, so they are coated on all sides.
- 3
Step 3

Grease the multicooker bowl with butter. Add the berries to the batter and gently mix, being careful not to press too hard with the spoon—the berries should remain whole. Pour the batter into the multicooker bowl.

Step 4

Set the baking mode for 50 minutes. Then let the pie cool for another 10 minutes to make it easier to remove later.

Step 5

You can see whole berries in the cross-section—the starch has preserved their shape and prevented the juice from leaking too much. Serve the ready sponge cake made in a multicooker with tea or coffee, decorated with powdered sugar or icing.
