
Polish-style sponge cake
Description
The pastry is prepared simply and quickly. Adding cocoa to the batter is optional. In that case, the sponge cake will turn out light. It should be served after it has cooled. The finished sponge cake pairs best with hot drinks such as tea or coffee.

Prepare the ingredients.

Separate the whites from the yolks. Add 1 tbsp of sugar to the yolks.

Beat the egg whites with a mixer for 1-2 minutes.

Add the remaining sugar.

Beat the egg whites until they increase in volume by 3–4 times.

Then beat the egg yolks with sugar using a mixer.

Add the whipped egg yolks to the egg whites.

Mix well and add the flour and cocoa.

Stir the batter again and pour it into the baking pan; grease the pan with oil if it is metal. If the pan is silicone, then there is no need to grease it.

Bake the sponge cake for 30 minutes at 190 degrees.
