Hot milk sponge cake
Description
Delicious pastries for the whole family. A milk sponge cake turns out incredibly fluffy, light, and delicate in taste. Making it is no different from preparing a plain classic sponge! You can use it as the base for a colorful layer cake or simply serve it with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients listed. You may use milk of any fat percentage and type. Sponge cake made with coconut milk is especially aromatic.
- 2
Step 2

Crack the chicken eggs into the bowl of a food processor or a mixer bowl. Add salt and sugar to the same vessel and whip everything for 3–5 minutes until the mixture has grown 2–3 times in volume and turned pale white.
- 3
Step 3

While the eggs are being whisked, pour milk of any fat content into a saucepan or pot, heat it almost to boiling, and add butter. Melt the butter in the milk.
- 4
Step 4

Add wheat flour mixed with baking powder to the egg mixture and stir gently at low mixer speed to make a sponge cake batter.
- 5
Step 5

Only after adding the flour, pour the hot milk with butter into the dough and immediately start mixing on low speed, working the liquid into the dough. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 6
Step 6

Grease the baking pan with vegetable oil or butter, pour in the prepared dough, and immediately place it in the oven. Do not turn the appliance temperature up or down!
- 7
Step 7

Bake the sponge cake for about 25–30 minutes, checking doneness with a long wooden skewer. After baking, take the tin out (of the oven) and tilt it on its side so the sponge cake does not collapse while cooling.
- 8
Step 8

Only after it has cooled completely remove the bake from the pan and serve at the table or use it to assemble a cake.
