Chicken steak
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The chicken meat is marinated beforehand, then seared on a hot skillet. It's best to use a grill pan or one with a good non-stick coating to minimize the use of vegetable oil. This dish can confidently be included in a diet menu, yet it turns out incredibly delicious! The breast remains juicy and exceptionally tender—perfect served hot for lunch or used cold for making various salads or sandwiches. I highly recommend giving it a try. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. The steak will be juicier and tastier if you use chilled meat. First, rinse the chicken breast and pat it dry. Use spices to your taste; I use paprika and a ready-made chicken seasoning mix.
- 2
Step 2

Cut each fillet lengthwise into pieces.
- 3
Step 3

Then lightly pound each piece on both sides with a kitchen mallet to make them roughly the same size. To avoid splattering, you can cover the fillets with a plastic bag or plastic wrap.
- 4
Step 4

Transfer the prepared chicken breast to a deep bowl.
- 5
Step 5

Add 2 tbsp of vegetable oil, lemon juice, paprika, salt, ground pepper, and your favorite spices to taste.
- 6
Step 6

Mix and let stand for 10-15 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

For frying, I recommend using a grill pan, but a regular one will work too. Heat the pan and spray it with oil. Place the fillet onto the pan.
- 8
Step 8

Fry over medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side.
- 9
Step 9

The chicken steak is ready. Vegetables or a salad would make an excellent side dish.
