Beef steak fried in a pan
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Pan-fried beef steak is quite simple to prepare. The principle is similar to cooking a steak, but there are a few specifics. First, the meat! Choose the freshest meat possible, preferably so-called "steak-grade" beef. However, if you trust your butcher, beef tenderloin will also work well. Second, a cast-iron skillet is best for cooking steak (it retains heat effectively). If you don't have one, you can fry the meat in a regular pan, then keep it over the lowest heat for 7 minutes. The final step in preparing the steak is using foil, which helps retain and reflect heat, ensuring the beef steak is cooked thoroughly. Good luck, and serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Take the meat out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before starting to cook and slice it into thin steaks.
- 2
Step 2

Make cuts along the grain on each piece of meat using the tip of a knife.
- 3
Step 3

On both sides, sprinkle each piece of meat with dry mustard (you can use regular mustard instead), then season with ground pepper and coat with butter.

Step 4

For steak, it's best to use a cast-iron skillet, but if you don't have one, use a grill pan or a heavy-bottomed skillet. Pour in the oil and heat over the highest heat. Place the meat in the pan and sear for about 3–4 minutes.

Step 5

Then we flip the meat and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Then turn off the heat and let the meat rest for 5-10 minutes. Next, wrap the meat in foil and let it rest for about 7 more minutes.
