1. Roughly chop the chocolate, cherries, and nuts.

2. Beat the cold egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. Gradually add sugar and vanilla sugar.

3. Add cherries, chocolate, and nuts to the egg whites. Gently mix.

4. Spoon the meringue onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5. Bake the meringue in the oven at 110 degrees for about 4 hours. The meringue should be crisp.
