Instructions

Step 1

Place the starter into any convenient container for you, add 85 milliliters of water and three heaping tablespoons of flour. Mix well; the mixture should form a rather liquid dough. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rise for an hour and a half.
- 2
Step 2

When the dough has risen in volume, add sugar, vegetable oil, and the remaining flour. Using a special dough attachment (hook), knead it until all the flour is incorporated.
- 3
Step 3

The dough should turn out very elastic. You might think there is too much flour, but don't stop kneading—it will fully absorb the flour.

Step 4

Roll the dough into a ball and brush it with oil. Grease the bowl as well. Place the dough into the bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for a couple of hours. During this time, you need to knead it down several times.

Step 5

Roll the risen dough into a ball one last time, brush the top with water, make a longitudinal slash. Place on a baking sheet and bake for ten minutes at 220 degrees, then for twenty minutes at 180 degrees.
