Prepare the ingredients for baking grass carp with potatoes in the oven.

Clean the fish from scales, gut it, and remove the black membrane inside the belly. Wash thoroughly inside and outside. If you are going to bake the grass carp with the head, remove the gills.

Peel the potatoes and onion, then wash them. Slice the onion into half-rings and the potatoes into thin slices. Grease the baking dish with sunflower oil and arrange the vegetables inside.
